Hey there, hi there, Louis! Thank you for your question, and thank you very much for your service.
Walt Disney World does offer several discounts for
eligible veterans. The first thing you want to do is see what your veteran status qualifies you for.
The thing most servicemembers and veterans are familiar with is the
Military Salute Theme Park ticket offer. These are deeply discounted, multi-day
theme park tickets for eligible servicemembers and veterans. In order to be eligible, you'll have to be active duty military, a retired veteran with 20+ years of service, or a 100% service-connected disabled veteran.
For these same eligible servicemembers and veterans, there is also currently a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel
offer available for members of the military. You call to book that, and they will explain the discounts available at the time of booking.
If you don't qualify for those benefits, Louis, there are a couple of other options. Most military bases offer slightly discounted theme park tickets that you can go in and pick up at the base ticket office. There is also an Armed Forces Recreation Center resort right on Walt Disney World property called
Shades of Green. They do have strict eligibility requirements, but at certain times during the year, any veteran may book a room there.
And Louis, always keep an eye out for
Special Offers available to the general public. Even if you don't qualify for the military offers, you may find an awesome hotel or package discount you weren't even expecting.
Have a wonderful time planning, Louis!
Anna
