Can I use a vertical ID in Epcot on my 21st birthday?

    Hi there, Madison!

It sounds like you're planning quite the birthday celebration with a visit to Epcot on your 21st!

What a fun way to celebrate - with a visit to World Showcase, where you can - legally - enjoy some delicious adult beverages on your special day. I'm glad to see you're already planning ahead to make sure you'll be able to use your I.D. to purchase a birthday drink or two!

The rules vary from state to state when it comes to vertical I.D.s. (The only common theme with vertical I.D.s is that they're issued to minors!) Some states train bartenders not to accept them at all, while others are fine with accepting them as long as they aren't expired. As long as your I.D. doesn't legally expire on your birthday, I'm pretty sure you'll be ok to use it in Epcot with no issues. One suggestion would be to carry another legal form of identification that proves your age, such as a passport.

While there are many delicious choices when it comes to food and drinks in Epcot, my personal favorite is found at La Cava del Tequila in the Mexico pavilion in World Showcase. The Avocado Margarita features tequila, melon liqueur, fresh avocado, agave nectar, fresh lime juice, and a hibiscus salt rim. It is smooth, creamy, and delicious! I hope you'll do your research and choose the perfect special drinks to enjoy on your big day. Remember to drink responsibly and make sure to enjoy some of the good Epcot food along the way!

Wishing you the happiest, most magical 21st birthday ever!
