Hey there, hi there Alma! Thanks for stopping by
planDisney where you're always welcome as can be. I'd be happy to help a fellow Mouseketeer today.
Being one of Mickey Mouses's closest neighbors has its advantages! As a resident of the Sunshine State, you're eligible for
special offers and discounts on tickets and resort stays. Hot dog! My parents live part-time in Florida and frequently join us on visits to Walt Disney World.
To
verify your Florida residency online, you'll need to fill out the “Your Florida Resident Information” form upon check-out when you purchase theme park tickets on the
Walt Disney World website or complete the “Customize Your Tickets” step when you purchase through the
My Disney Experience mobile app. For each ticket purchased for an adult, you'll need one of the following to confirm residency:
Valid Florida driver’s license (must have a Florida address)
Valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address)
Valid Florida-based military ID
If you do not have one of the IDs listed, you can also provide mail from a financial institution, an electric bill, homeowners insurance bill, automobile registration, or mortgage statement, (dated within the past 2 months), evidencing a Florida residential address, along with a corresponding picture ID.
If you already finalized your ticket purchased without verifying your residency, you'll need to stop by Guest Relations on your way into a theme park to take care of this before using your ticket for the first time. You only need to do this one time; once your status is confirmed, your ticket will be activated and you'll be good to go for the duration of your visit. My parents will be spending a few days in Walt Disney World with us in just a couple of weeks, and they plan on taking care of this at the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs on their arrival afternoon, the day before we first enter the theme parks.
I hope this is helpful, Alma. Best wishes for a wonderful visit, and we'll see ya real soon!
Betsy
