can you verify Florida residency on the Disney app when purchasing park tickets

Well hey there, Johanna! Thanks for bringing your questions to us here at planDisney

You gotta love the Florida resident discounted tickets available at Walt Disney World. These tickets offer pretty decent savings over a regularly priced ticket, and it's a great idea to take advantage of them when planning to visit Disney World.

Johanna, if you are purchasing your tickets through the My Disney Experience app, you may be able to verify your Florida residency through the app. You'll find this option in the "Customize Your Tickets" section of the app. I say "may" because there are certain requirements to be able to verify on the app.

There are quite a few ways to verify your Florida resident status, including with utility bills and bank statements. To do it in the app, though, you'll need to use a Florida driver's license, a state ID card, or a military ID from a Florida military base. You will need to show proof of Florida residency when you activate your tickets, so when you go to the theme park, make sure to have an ID with you.

Don't forget to make your theme park reservations ahead of your visit to make sure you're all set when you get there. And definitely look into using the brand new Disney Genie Service to help plan out your day!

Wishing you happy planning and a wonderful visit, Johanna!
