Welcome back to planDisney, Diana. Thanks so much for stopping in with another question!
I have to tell you that
Liberty Tree Tavern is a family favorite. We love to visit during lunch at least once during each of our trips. Not only are we big fans of the comfort food favorites on the menu, but we also really appreciate the quaint, colonial-inspired charm of the restaurant's rooms.
Personally, I've always been partial to the Patriot's Platter, but I definitely see why that would be a problematic array of food for a vegetarian. Luckily, there is an alternative that might work out quite nicely for the vegetarian in your traveling party. If you have a look at the
menu, you'll notice a plant-based alternative which is also served all-you-care-to-enjoy style. For this version, Impossible Meatloaf plays a starring role on the plate. I had the opportunity to taste a plant-based Impossible meatball during the
Taste of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival last year. It was really flavorful and absolutely delicious. If the meatloaf on the Liberty Tree Tavern menu is remotely similar to that dish, I would highly recommend giving it a try. And since Liberty Tree Tavern can be a popular choice,
reservations are recommended.
Keep in mind that menus are subject to change, so there's no guarantee that this particular dish will be available when you visit. The global pandemic, too, has necessitated some changes within the kitchens of Disney theme parks and resorts. As your vacation approaches, you might find this
guide to plant-based dining super helpful in guiding your restaurant choices.
No matter where your tummy takes you, I wish you and your family an unforgettably tasty trip. And, hey, don't be a stranger! We'd love to offer more help as your planning progresses.
