Hi, I am a vegetarian who doesn't like mushrooms. Do a lot of the vegetarian options at Disney have mushrooms in them? I'm worried about a lack of options. Thank you

    Hello Tara!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It has been a while since you have stopped by. I am glad you came to us with this great question. I have a daughter that is vegan, so I know how important it is to plan ahead when traveling. The Walt Disney World Resort has some fantastic options when it comes to plant-based dining and other special dietary needs. For example- did you know that the world-famous Dole Whip is vegan?

As we have prepared to travel, I have seen many options that are vegetarian and that do not have mushrooms. Also, you can always ask if the mushrooms can be omitted from meals that list them as an ingredient. Don't be afraid to ask the Cast Member that takes your order to help you know which dishes to avoid to stay fungi free. At Table Service locations, make sure and inform your server about your dietary needs. Some restaurants, such as the California Grill have special menus for those that follow a plant-based diet.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have more questions, come on back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    See ya real soon,
