Hi!! We ´ve booked an Alaskan Cruise this summer. Two questions: Is there a formal dinner ( with jacket for men and dress for women ? I can´t find this information. And second, Will the pools be in use ? Do we need swimsuits ( as it is from 42-6

    Buenos dias, Cristina!

Congratulations on booking an Alaskan Cruise aboard Disney's Wonder this summer! You and your family are going to be in awe and amazement at the ports of call and the unique shore excursions available to you.

On any Disney 7-night cruise, there will be an opportunity (or two) for a more formal night for dinner. However, true formal wear (floor-length gowns and tuxedos) are not required. I always pack my little black dress for a cruise and bring along various accessories (wraps, jewelry and shoes) to change my look. For the men, I pack several collared shirts (long sleeves and short sleeves) and one dinner jacket. (I've never had to pack a tie.)

Since you are leaving from Vancouver, Canada with an average summer temperature of 20-25 C, I would definitely pack the swimsuits. Plus, the water in the pools will be warm despite the outside temperatures. When you reach the most northern port of Skagway, Alaska, the temperatures still may be as warm as 15C/60F, and the outdoor hot tubs and indoor saunas will be delightful.

I hope this helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
