We’ll be at Varsity Summit & plan to stay at Disney If you choose the 4 night travel package, do you get 3 park tickets & any meals or meal plans? Does varsity have own transportation to ESPN? & do we use Disney for parks? Tks

Hey there, Deana - welcome back to planDisney!  I'm so excited to hear that your favorite cheer team will be competing at The Summit Championship.  This annual event is the culmination of many hours of hard work for squads from around the world, and Walt Disney World Resort is the most magical place to watch your favorite athletes strut their stuff!

The ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is a fantastic venue, with multiple stages where teams compete throughout the event. Everything is close by, and I love to pop into different buildings and watch the talented teams wow the crowds. There are also plenty of options for food on-site, including a Joffrey's Coffee, which is ideal if you have an early morning competition time. You may even see Mickey Mouse out and about in his sporty best!

This event is run by Varsity Spirit, and you can see all the details for the travel packages by navigating from the Events section of the ESPN website. I took a peek myself and confirmed that a 4-night travel package includes 3-day tickets with the Park Hopper option. You can choose to extend your stay and add extra days to your park tickets - this option shows up in the "Add On" step of the Varsity registration process. Once you receive the information for your theme park tickets, you can add them to your My Disney Experience account, along with your ESPN Complex passes.

The packages do not include any meals or meal plans. You can purchase meal vouchers for an additional cost that are good for certain counter service restaurants, but I generally prefer to explore the food trucks at ESPN or plan for a sit-down dinner to regroup after cheering on our favorite team.

As for transportation, spectators who are on the Varsity travel packages do have access to buses that go between the event hotels and ESPN. There is no direct transportation from ESPN to the theme parks or Disney Springs, so you would need to take the Varsity bus back to your hotel and transfer to a Disney bus. If you decide to bring or rent a car, there is plenty of free parking at the complex. It's also really easy to use rideshare, and the pickup and drop-off locations are clearly marked.

Congratulations to your team on making it to the Summit, Deana! I'll be sending all the good vibes for a wonderful experience with Hit Zeros all around. Thanks for stopping by planDisney, and please don't hesitate to reach out again if we can help with other tips and tricks to make your time at Walt Disney World as magical as can be.

    Go Team!
