Hi Eva, Thanks for coming to the Mom's Panel!
The Pop Century Resort is the newest value resort, and it has been open about 7 years now. Your question about what rooms have been remodeled is harder to answer. Guest services/reservations do not track this information for work done in the past. I am told that resort rooms are being continually refurbished - and they do it in such a way that you might not even know that refurbishments are happening while you are there.
At each of the value resorts (
Pop Century, All Star Sports, All Star Music and All Star Movies), there is one central building where you will find the food court, gift shop, arcade, front desk and bus stops. Please note that some of the rooms in the buildings noted below will be farther from the central building than others due to the way the buildings are configured (buildings are T-shaped). Here below are the buildings closest to the central building; note that they are likely considered 'preferred' rooms and could be a little more expensive.
Pop Century: Some sides of the 70's buildings, the 60's buildings and two of the 50's buildings are closer to 'Classic Hall'
All Star Sports: 'Surf's Up' (buildings 1 and 6) and 'Touch Down' (buildings 7 and 10) are closer to Stadium Hall
All Star Music: 'Calypso' (buildings 1 and 10) are closer to Melody Hall
All Star Movies: Some sides of '101 Dalmatians' (buildings 1 and 4), 'Fantasia' (buildings 5 and 8) and 'Toy Story' (buildings 9 and 10) are closer to Cinema Hall.
When you check in and confirm your room, the cast members can show you exactly where your room will be. Hope this helps; have a magical vacation!
