    Value Resort vs. Moderate value?

Hi, Suzan!    It is a big decision when deciding between a Value Resort and a Moderate Resort.    The biggest difference is of course the price.   You can definitely save some money by booking a Value over Moderate.   But beyond that, here are the main differences . . .

VALUE RESORT rooms are about 260 square feet.   Each room has 2 double beds and 1 sink in the bathroom area.    There are no Table Service restaurants and no slide at the pool.     Value Resorts are full of kids and families and sometimes school groups (bands, sports teams, etc.)   The energy level is high and there is a lot of activity around the resort.   Except for All-Star Music's Family Suites, rooms do not have refrigerators or coffee makers (you can rent a frig for about $10 per night.)

MODERATE RESORT rooms are about 314 square feet.  Each room has 2 double beds and 2 sinks in the bathroom area.    Table Service restaurants are available (Port Orleans French Quarter shares with Port Orleans Riverside.)    Pools are a bit more elaborate with a water slide.   Each room has a refrigerator included along with a coffee maker.      Coronado Springs is the exception within the Moderate Resorts.   This resort has queen beds and only 1 sink in the bathroom area.

Whether you book a Value, Moderate, or Deluxe room at WDW, there are some things that are the same at all the resorts:   Free airport transportation on the Magical Express, free transportation around the WDW Resort property via bus, boat, and monorail, and that famous "Disney Magic" 24/7!  Price out what level resort fits into your budget and the needs of your family.   Have fun planning your vacation!
