which value hotel has just been remodeled?

    Hi, Julie!

It seems there is always some new project or refurb going on at Walt Disney World. It sure makes for a new and exciting vacation for each and every visit. Please note that all refurbishment schedules and updates are subject to change at any time.

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels are no exception. Mickey and his team sure keep the rooms at all the resorts looking neat and pretty. Currently, Disney's Pop Century Resort is undergoing a room refurbishment. Rooms are getting make-overs from top to bottom with new beds, new flooring, and new décor. Currently, it seems rooms in the 90's and 80's section are at or near completion, and it appears the crews are moving through each decade. There has been no official word when all rooms will be completed.

As far as the newest Value Resort, that would be Disney's Art of Animation Resort (2012) located just across from Pop Century. Simply cross Hourglass Lake on the Generation Gap bridge and you can be from one resort to the other in a jiffy. While you cannot share pools, feel free to take a stroll to enjoy each other's food court or shopping.

I hope you find a room that suits your travel party perfectly!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
