Hi Angelea,
It's so nice to see you at planDisney! Your upcoming visit to
Walt Disney World Resort has reached an important countdown milestone. You are now within 60 days of your arrival date (eek!), which means you can make
advanced dining reservations. This also means you've likely experienced how hard it can be to find these reservations. That's par for the Disney course these days, and you're right to explore your options for securing your practically perfect mealtime.
The wording on my most recent Disney dining reservation confirmation email states you will be charged a $10 per person fee, "if you fail to cancel timely and are a no show." If you're able to secure an earlier mealtime through
Mobile Dine Walk-Up Availability in the
My Disney Experience mobile app, Angelea, you are technically not a no show. Should this occur, I recommend you speak to a Cast Member at the restaurant's host stand when reporting for your walk-up victory. In my experience, Cast Members will do everything they can to help. In this situation, you may even be paying the magic forward to another party wishing for a later dinner reservation, thus completing the circle of magic.
It's also possible to modify an existing dining reservation to an earlier time in the My Disney Experience app. To do so, click on the reservation you wish to change, followed by "modify." Select the day and time you're looking for and see what pops up. A modified reservation would prevent you from having to wait around in hopes of getting called off the waitlist.
While enjoying the various food and beverage offerings
The World's Most Magical Celebration has to offer, be sure to also check out the
Beacons of Magic. Don't tell Cinderella Castle, but I think Spaceship Earth is my favorite!
Hope to see you at planDisney again real soon.
EARidescently,
Jennifer
