Hi Andrea! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I bet your family is very excited to visit Magic Kingdom Park soon! My son's first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort was when he was just 6-months-old, so hearing that you are visiting with a
little one at that same age makes my heart happy!
You have a few options when it comes to
parking at the theme parks. There are three parking categories: standard, preferred, and disability parking lots. The disability parking lots require a valid disability parking permit, so if you do not have that you will need to use either standard or preferred parking. Although preferred parking is more expensive, it is probably your best option for your situation with two kiddos and an early exit. The preferred parking lot is closer to the entrance and is really convenient for those with young children and those using
strollers. Since Magic Kingdom Park parking is located at the Transportation and Ticket Center, you will still have to use the monorail or ferryboat to get to Magic Kingdom Park's entrance. My best advice is to arrive extra early in the day to not only get a closer parking spot, but also to get as much time in the theme park as possible!
I hope this helps with planning your day at
Magic Kingdom Park, Andrea! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
