Hey there, Sharon! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for sharing your question with us!
It looks like your Walt Disney World vacation is quickly approaching. How exciting! You’ll be at the
Magic Kingdom, strolling down Main Street U.S.A. with a Mickey-shaped pretzel before you know it. Or maybe you want to enjoy a Mickey ice cream bar while walking down Hollywood Boulevard at
Hollywood Studios. Or both! The choice is yours!
All pets visiting the
Best Friends Pet Hotel or one of the four pet-friendly Walt Disney World Resort hotels (Art of Animation, Port Orleans - Riverside, Yacht Club, and the Cabins at Fort Wilderness) need to be properly vaccinated. Those vaccinations currently include:
Dogs for Daycare/Overnight Boarding:
- Rabies
- Distemper
- Bordetella
Dogs for group play:
- Rabies
- Distemper
- Bordetella
- Influenza vaccine is recommended but not required
- Must be spayed/neutered
Cats:
- Rabies
- Feline Distemper
Proof of vaccination is required, so plan to present a copy of your pet’s records at check-in or ask your veterinarian’s office to fax them to (203) 840-5207 before arrival. If you have any other questions about pet vaccine requirements or other rules for bringing your pet to Walt Disney World, don’t hesitate to call Best Friends Pet Care directly at (407) 209-3126.
I hope this information helps with your upcoming visit, Sharon. I’m sure you and your canine or feline friend will have an amazing time at Walt Disney World. Pop right back if you have additional questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
