Welcome to planDisney, Heidi!
It's not long now until your trip to The Happiest Place on Earth. Oh, boy! You must be so excited! October is such a great time to visit the Disneyland Resort. Make sure you stop by the
Haunted Mansion and enjoy the holiday overlay. Since you'll be in the area, you're going to want to get some Mickey beignets from the
Mint Julip Bar too. Mmmmmmm!
But "let's get down to business." As you mentioned in your question, the State of California strongly recommends that all Guests be fully vaccinated or obtain a negative COVID-19 test prior to entering the Disneyland Resort. However, it's important to know that Disney does not require this. Although
Disney strongly encourages all Guests to be vaccinated and wear face coverings when indoors, this is not currently a requirement (although policies are always subject to change). Therefore, vaccination cards are not needed. Also, you do not need to provide a negative COVID-19 test result in order to enter the theme parks.
Still, Disney's procedures may change as they continue to follow guidance from the State of California and local health officials. Therefore, in the few days before your trip, make sure that you check the
Disneyland Resort website.
As your trip approaches, if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or have been in contact with another person with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 symptoms, then you must not enter the Disneyland Resort until the recommended quarantine period has been completed.
I hope that's helpful, Heidi. I'll be wishing upon a star that you stay healthy and that your trip is "practically perfect in every way."
Mike
