What vaccinations are required for dog rooms

    Hiya Ellen!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sending us this magical question! As a fellow mom of a fur baby, I completely understand how ruff it can be to leave your best friend at home when travelling. I got to stay at The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort with my family and our dog in 2019, and it was so magical to have the whole family together in our favourite place. She even got to enjoy the Resort grounds, bark at the horses and enjoy the beach!

After chatting with a Cast Member, it was confirmed that your dog requires the same vaccinations that are required, so as long as they followed the vaccination schedule, they will be good to go! Unfortunately, the Disney website does not offer a list of vaccinations required at this time. Therefore, I would recommend calling a Disney Cast Member at (407) 209-3126 or reaching out to the Best Friend Pet Care service, as they may be better equipped to answer this question. I was also advised that you could check your local county's vaccination requirements to know the exact vaccinations required!

If you do not feel comfortable leaving your fur baby at your cabin while you visit the theme parks, Hakuna Matata! No worries - Disney actually has a pet daycare service and even overnight stays available to ensure even your pet has a magical time. The Best Friend Pet Care is open up to an hour before park opening and an hour after park closure,  leaving you plenty of time to drop off or pick up your pal. The Best Friend Pet Care offers so many services ranging from a grooming salon, fun activities to overnight suites with varying amenities. The VIP Luxury Suites even include a webcam which allows you to check in on your little one while you are enjoying the theme parks! For more information, make sure to check out the Best Friends Pet Care website. Although their capacity is quite large, reservations are recommended.

I hope this was helpful, Ellen, and that you and your fur baby will have the best vacation ever on your next trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip, please don't hesitate to reach back out. It is always my pleasure to help fellow dog parents!

    Have a magical day,
