We will be vacationing at WDW in January 2023...SO EXCITED!!!!!! I am aware we can start making dining reservations 60 days prior to arrival. There will be four adults and one child, age 1. When making reservations, do we make them for four or five people?

    Hello, Joseph!

Welcome back to planDisney! I am so happy to hear that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in the new year! You will still have time to enjoy the 50th Anniversary Celebration and all the new experiences that have been created for the celebration. My favorite addition is Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection. These 50 golden sculptures are on display across all 4 theme parks. They make great photo ops and will interact with the new MagicBand+ coming out later this year.

I consider Disney Dining to almost be an attraction unto itself. Each restaurant has its own story and theme that compliments the menu. No matter what type of cuisine makes your taste buds do their little happy dance, you will find it somewhere at the Walt Disney World Resort.

It is so exciting when the day arrives to begin making your Advanced Dining Reservations. We treat it like a holiday in my household by wearing our favorite Disney Character sleepwear, getting up extra early and having a cup of coffee or tea in our favorite Disney Character mugs, and then logging in to My Disney Experience at 5:45 AM to begin making our reservations.

When you make your reservations, you must include everyone who will be dining, even those little Mouseketeers who are considered to be a Special Guest of Mickey Mouse. There is no charge for children under 3, they are allowed to share a plate with an adult at all family-style and buffet-style restaurants. Adding them to your reservation ensures there will be enough room for your entire party and even a high chair available when you arrive.

Your little Mouseketeer will have a magical time during your visit. Be sure to check out the guide to Planning for Preschool Kids & Little Ones to help you discover those age-appropriate experiences for them.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
