I will be vacationing at WDW the first week of May with a 18 month old.I am trying to decide whether to stay at the Wilderness Lodge or the AKL. Is the ride from AKL to the parks too much for an 18 month old who will need to go back in the PM for naps?

Hi Lisa - last year my family stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge when my son was 22 months old.  He absolutely loved seeing the animals, and spent much of the time in our room with his nose pressed against our sliding doors watching them.

I didn't find the travel time to be too long for us to go back for naps.  I know others do have that issue, but we really didn't find the travel time to be difficult at all.  I love the Wilderness Lodge also, but you can't beat Animal Kingdom Lodge for kids that love animals!

    Have a great vacation!
