Hi! I will be vacationing in Disney World this upcoming April, and I was wondering if all of the character dining you have to pay in advance to attending the meal?

    Hi Adriana,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort Vacation, I am sure you are going to have a magical time!  Guests are able to make Advanced Dining Reservations up to 180 days in advance for all character dining locations.  When making your reservations, you will need to provide a credit card number to guarantee your reservations, however it will not be charged.  If you are using the Disney Dining Plan, this is true for all dining locations including Special Dining Experiences and Dinner Shows (Cinderella's Royal Table and Mickey's Backyard BBQ).  At the end of your dining experience, you will be required to redeem your dining entitlements or pay for your meal at this point.

If you are not using the Disney Dining Plan, you will only be required to leave your credit card number to guarantee your reservation for most Table Service Character Dining Locations, however there are a few exceptions.  If you plan on dining at Cinderella's Royal Table or Mickey's Backyard BBQ these locations will require pre-payment.

I hope you enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World Resort Adriana.  If you have any other questions, please let me know.  I would be happy to help!
