We will be vacationing in Disney World this fall. We will have the Standard Dining Plan because my husband is a bit of a "foodie". Is it possible to share a meal in the restaurants that require 1 credit to save credits for the signature meals?

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Renee. I'm so glad you stopped by! Let's chat about your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort this Fall

If your husband is a "foodie," then the Disney Dining Plan is the perfect fit for your upcoming Disney Resort hotel stay. With this dining plan, you'll enjoy lots of delicious table-service and quick-service meals, snacks, and specialty beverages. Yum! I can understand wanting to save some of your meals to be used for signature dining experiences. While two adults using the Disney Dining Plan are not permitted to share one table-service meal to be redeemed as a single table-service meal from their dining plan, there's nothing that stipulates both people at your table have to order a meal at a table-service restaurant (with the exception of restaurants that feature all-you-care-to-enjoy menus, like Chef Mickey's). For example, your husband could order a meal to be deducted from your pool of dining plan table-service meals, and you could order a beverage and perhaps an appetizer to be paid for out-of-pocket. And then of course, you could certainly share from one another's plates.

Your visit this fall is the perfect time to experience the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. It's a "foodie" festival, for sure! Did you know you can use your dining plan snacks on lots of unique and mouthwatering offerings from the Global Marketplaces throughout the park? Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog while you're counting down the days to your Disney vacation. Announcements about this year's EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will be posted there in the months ahead!

I hope this was helpful, Renee. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
