Hi, We will be on vacation at WDW in Oct 2014! My oldest son will be celebrating his 16th birthday during our vacation. I am looking for ideas to celebrate while also accommodating our two younger children (7 & 5) Any ideas? Thanks!

    Hi, Christina!

Oooh! Celebrating a special birthday while in Walt Disney World...I love it!

Treat the birthday boy to dinner at a special restaurant; if he's a steak lover, try Le Cellier Steakhouse, located in Epcot's World Pavilion or Yachtsman Steakhouse, in Disney's Yacht Club Resort. A seafood lover might enjoy dining at Downtown Disney's Fulton's Crab House or Cape May Cafe's seafood buffet, at Disney's Beach Club Resort. Chef Mickey's, located at Disney's Contemporary Resort, is a great place to celebrate a birthday, and everyone will get to meet Mickey and pals, too. You can even arrange to have a customized cake delivered to most table service restaurants. Just call (407) 827-2253 to arrange it.

A Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage would be fun for the whole family, with snacks, drinks, dancing and a character greeting (Hook and Smee!) before shoving off with Patch the Pirate for a water view of Wishes Nighttime Spectacular. On a recent birthday trip, this was one of our favorite events; everyone in our group (ages 6-70) loved every bit of it!

You can find additional information about celebrating a birthday in Walt Disney World right on WDW's website; have fun investigating!

Send more questions as you think of them, Christina. We love to help!
