I want to take a vacation to WDW in December of either this year or next year. My boys will be 4 1/2 or 5 1/2. When do you think would be the best time to go for their age? Thank you!

Hi Amber! Many guests wait to visit Walt Disney World until the magical age of their children. I have yet to figure out what age that is and will always recommend a family to vacation when they have it in their budget and can find the vacation time. The age of the children is not the important factor as you will build and make memories with them no matter how old they are. These memories will be priceless and document it all in pictures and share as they get older.

I have taken my own children and now my grandchildren from as young as three months old and up. Preparation and planning for the different ages is important but as far as the experiences go there isn't one age that I had more fun with them then another. I will never forget my two year old grandson seeing Tigger and then "hopping" up to him with excitement. Or my 11 month old daughter breaking out in her first belly laugh while watching the "Tiki Birds".

So my advice to you is to simply find the best time for your vacation and plan away. Your boys will have an unbelievable time no matter what. You might want to check into a new package Disney has offered called Kindermoon. This is specifically for families with pre school children and it might be a perfect situation for you and your family. Just let us know what we can do to help you as you plan away.
