My vacation starts 7/22. How early can I book fast passes for the attractions? In the past I thought it was 90 days, but I can’t find that now, so I’m wonder if that changed with the pandemic.

Hi there, Shane! Welcome to planDisney!

Let me tell you, Shane, you're our kind of planner! Your planDisney pals always have a running to-do list for all the important details that make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation practically perfect. For several years now, one of those details was making FastPass+ selections for our must-do attractions. These days, though, as Walt Disney World continues to operate under its phased reopening procedures, FastPass+ has been paused for now. Instead, all Guests board attractions via the standby queue. We're not sure when FastPass+ might be back, but keep an eye on the "Know Before You Go" page on the Walt Disney World website for updates.

So, as our friends Timon and Pumbaa would say, "Hakuna Matata!" No worries! You haven't missed out!

There are still a couple of important things you'll need to do in advance to help your vacation go swimmingly. You can make all of your dining reservations starting 60 days out rather than the 180 days we had to plan in the past. Also, if you haven't already, you'll want to make Disney Park Pass reservations for the theme parks you plan to visit as soon as you can. Glancing at the Availability Calendar, it looks like July is quickly booking up, so be sure to hop on that one!

I bet you're getting really excited for your summer vacation, Shane! While you're tending to all those details, don't hesitate to come back and see us if you have any more questions. We're always here to help!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
