Our vacation is scheduled 9/14-9/21 and we are very excited to bring our kids and grandkids. Looking ahead, I know restaurant reservation are 60 days out, but any restaurant I viewed said "no availability" on 9/15. Are the parks closed that day?

Hello Ann! It is wonderful that you’ll be visiting with your kids and grandkids! Some of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort memories are from my family visits with everyone – parents, grandparents, kids, siblings, and cousins! You are going to have a wonderful time! Enjoying delicious Disney Dining together is a great way to spend part of your vacation!

Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can make advanced dining reservations 60 days before their vacation arrival date (for up to 10 days of their vacation)! The reason you’re unable to see any available dining times is because it is still too soon to make reservations based on your arrival date. With your vacation arrival date scheduled for September 14, 2024, you can begin making your dining reservations on July 16, 2024. You should see dining availability when you log in to your My Disney Experience account that morning.

Guests staying at hotels off Walt Disney World Resort property can make their advanced dining reservations 60 days before their preferred dining date. So, if you wish to book dining specifically for September 15, 2024 (and you are staying at an off-property hotel), you can make your reservations on July 17, 2024, for September 15, 2024.

Guests can usually begin making their advanced dining reservations as early as 6:00 AM through the My Disney Experience app or the Walt Disney World Resort website! I recommend sitting down with your favorite morning beverage around 5:45 AM to start checking availability. Also, be sure to have your credit card next to you as some reservations do require a credit card number to hold the reservation.

Have a magical vacation with your big family!

    Dreams do come true!
