We have our vacation scheduled for 6/10 and would like to celebrate my daughters 6th birthday. She is VERY much into animals so we will be staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. What "animal" ideas do you have for celebrating her birthday?

Hi, April!  Well, you're already on the right track by staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge!  You can take a walk out to see the animals on the savanna throughout your stay!  You may want to check out the night vision goggles one evening to even see them at night!

Check the front desk at your resort to see if there are any special events planned while you are there.  You may find animal or conservation themed activities on the schedule during your stay.

I absolutely recommend visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom.  The Kilimanjaro Safari attraction is a favorite of my family, and brings you right out onto the African plains, where you'll see animals like giraffes, elephants, zebras, and even lions!  My girls also like a visit to Rafiki's Planet Watch, where you may see some veterinary procedures being done, and you can step outside to the petting zoo.

If you're looking for a nice dinner that brings you closer to the animals, try Sanaa at Kidani Village at the Animal Kingdom Villas.  The tables here are on the same level as the animals on the savanna, and with a window table, you can really see right out to some of the animals while you dine.

I hope you have a wonderful visit, and I hope your daughter has a magical birthday!  Oh - one last thing - you can check out some of the birthday offerings at Disney Floral and Gifts - they have some things that might be perfect for your animal lover!
