Can you use vacation points for a campsite at Wilderness Lodge?

Hi there, Rebecca! Thanks for visiting us at planDisney for some pixie-dusted vacation planning advice. I'm happy to help with your question today.

Hakuna Matata--being a Disney Vacation Club Member means no worries when it comes to planning our family's next vacation to Walt Disney World Resort or beyond. When we were making our decision to join, one of the most appealing aspects of Membership was the ability to use our Vacation Points at many different locations. This includes the Disney Collection, featuring hotels at all of the Disney theme parks worldwide.

This means that you can absolutely use your Vacation Points to explore the great outdoors at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort! The Campsites can accommodate anything from tents to RVs and are just a short hop from Magic Kingdom Park by water taxi or bus.  There's all sorts of fun activities at Fort Wilderness, from archery to s'mores around the campfire.  In the evening, don't miss the classic Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue--it always makes us laugh until our sides hurt!

Rebecca, there are some other "Wilderness" options for your vacation that I want to make sure I tell you about today in case I misunderstood your question! I'm also including a link to this interactive Walt Disney World Resort map so that you can see where everything is located.

    • The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are part of the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, just like the Campsites.
    • Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a Deluxe Resort located on Bay Lake and not far from Fort Wilderness. We've stayed there on a few occasions and loved it--it feels like you've journeyed to the Pacific Northwest and is just a short sail away from Magic Kingdom Park.
    • There are two fabulous Disney Vacation Club resorts located at Wilderness Lodge. These are Boulder Ridge Villas and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins. Both resorts have a peaceful, rustic vibe and provide a more home-like option for families.
Well, Rebecca, I hope this information is helpful to get you started on your journey to being a true Wilderness Explorer! If there's any other questions that our planDisney fam can help with, please don't hesitate to reach out again.

    Welcome Home!
