We have our vacation planned for Sept 23 - 29, have the DDP. So far we I reserved the Aloha Show one night (which we are paying for to get catagory 1 seating) and a character breakfast. Is advanced dinning reservations a must for our other 6 nights?

    Hi Vickki!

When it comes to dining at the table service restaurants at WDW, I highly recommend making your reservations in advance. I can totally understand that you may not want to be tied down to reservations every day, but due to the popularity of the dining plan many of the restaurants are completely booked 90 days in advance.

This is not to say that you won't be able to find anywhere to eat without prior reservations. If you aren't picky about where you want to dine, it is definitely possible to find openings for later in the day or a few days in advance. You can call Disney Dining from your resort to find out where there are openings or enlist the help of your resort's concierge.

If you have your heart set on anywhere in particular, I would suggest calling right away to check for availability and to make an ADR.

I hope this helps! Have fun planning the rest of your trip!
