We have a vacation planned for December 17-23. Currently we are booked at Key West in there one bedroom villa, but we would like to move our reservation to a Boulder Ridge one bedroom villa. How do we find an open reservation this late?

    Welcome home, Johnny!

Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! I am so glad you stopped by to ask us this magical question, and I am thrilled to hear that you will be staying at a Disney Resort hotel during your vacation. I mean, what could possibly be more magical than Mickey waffles before a day at the theme parks?

When it comes to Disney Resort hotel reservations, you can make modifications to your reservation online such as the party size or the Resort you will be staying at. However, since you are looking to book villas, which could be a bit more complicated, I would highly recommend reaching out to a Cast Member. Indeed, Cast Members at the reservation center can sometimes see more availability than is shown on the Walt Disney World Resort website, so calling in may be your best option!

Did you know that you will also visit the Walt Disney World Resort during the Holiday festivities? Indeed, there is no better way to ring in the holiday season than by visiting the theme parks at that time of year, as they include so many offerings that are only available during the Holiday season. I love visiting Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party because it has special fireworks, a parade, entertainment and treats, and you can also experience your favourite attractions with reduced wait times since theme park capacity is limited. Another example is EPCOT's International Festival of the Holidays, which will start on November 25th, 2022. As a foodie, I always love trying all the limited-time treats, but it is also a great opportunity to learn about different traditions from around the world. If you like trying new treats as well, definitely check out Disney Parks Blog's Foodie Guides or pick up a festival passport upon entering the theme park.

I hope this was helpful, Johnny, and that you will have the best day ever on your next Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip, please don't hesitate to reach back out! As Minnie said: "the best kind of magic is the one we make when we're all together."

Have a happy, merry, holly, jolly day!
