We have a vacation planned in august already but just heard about the disney perks deal and just signed up for it, would we be able to use the discount on our stay? If yes can someone help assist us with setting it up please.

    Hey Tayler,

Welcome to planDisney! I’m sure your summer visit to Walt Disney World is shaping up nicely. An August visit is likely to deliver lower crowds so you’re poised to have the best time. I’ll warn you - it will be pretty hot in Orlando during your stay, but this is nothing that a strategically planned mid-day dip in your resort pool can’t fix. You’re going to have the best time.

Congratulations on signing up for Disney+ Perks! These are exclusive rewards for Disney+ subscribers. I check the reward offerings pretty regularly as a subscriber - there are some amazing perks right now! One of them is special savings on rooms this summer at Walt Disney World. Any time Disney drops a special offer after you’ve booked a vacation, you can contact the resort to inquire about whether that offer can be applied to your stay. In most instances cast members will be able to apply it, but you will want to ask them to check to see if the new deal results in savings over any older promotions you might have for your stay before you commit.

During your visit, be sure to check out all the available offerings during Cool Kids’ Summer. You’ll find exclusive character experiences, themed entertainment and cool perks across all four parks during this time. You can find all the details on the Disney Parks Blog

My last bonus tip for visiting in August is to be prepared for rain. It may rain on a daily basis for short periods of time. Pack your ponchos, small umbrellas (hold these in front of you when walking through the security checkpoint for smooth sailing), waterproof footwear or extra socks and your patience. There is still so much fun to be had even during a brief storm. We visited recently and had a bit of a rainy week, but I'm still laughing at attraction photos of my children and I experiencing the newly updated Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin with our poncho hoods on. We look crazy (especially me with my high bun under the hood), but so happy!

I hope this information is helpful, Tayler. Come back to planDisney and let us know if we can help with any other planning questions. As our striped friend Tigger says, TTFN… ta-ta for now!
