Hello. My vacation is paid in full through Disney. My question is will i have an issue at check in with my debit card because it is considered a prepaid debit card. I do not have a credit card. This is the only card i have. Thoughts?

Hello Hannah, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with an excellent question.

Congratulations on your upcoming trip. It must be so exciting to think that in less than a month you will be enjoying a magical time at the Walt Disney World Resort. I have been lucky enough in the past to have a vacation package paid off before I arrived a few years ago. So I can understand not needing to use a credit card while on vacation.

I did some resEarch and discovered that you can use a prepaid debit card while staying at a Disney Resort Hotel. While using a prepaid card, you will not be able to use the online check-in feature. You will need to check-in at your resort’s registration area with a Cast Member if you plan to use your prepaid debit card. Your prepaid card cannot be linked to your MagicBand. If you wish to have charging privileges, you would need a credit card or debit card associated with a bank account. You may want to check the terms and conditions of your prepaid card to make sure there will be no holds or issues on their end. Just don’t forget to have a magical time. If you have any other questions before you arrive, please come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
