hi we have a vacation in oct 22, I have a reference number for our tickets, can i register in advance and start booking attractions etc

    Hi Martin! Welcome to planDisney!

Oh boy! A Walt Disney World holiday is on the horizon! There is nothing quite like the planning stage leading up to your stay, deciding on what parks you plan to visit and what attractions you are looking forward to riding. Depending on the last time you visited the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm sure there will be plenty of new experiences to take part in on this trip!

Once you booked your stay, you should have received a confirmation email that will contain a unique Ticket ID Code. This code is used to link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account. If you haven't done so already, head over to the Walt Disney World website and create a My Disney Experience account. Once you are logged in, select "Park Tickets" followed by "Link Tickets". Here you will enter the Ticket ID Code to successfully register your tickets to your account. If you are staying in a Disney Resorts Hotel, you should have received a separate confirmation number that can be used to link your accommodations to your account as well.

Now that your information is properly linked, you'll need to make park reservations for the parks you wish to visit on select dates. These are required for entry into the park you are visiting each day along with your park tickets. You'll only need to scan your MagicBand or Admission Card once upon entry since all of your plans will be linked to it. This is the perfect time to start planning out your time there and deciding which parks make sense on certain dates.

While park reservations are typically made well in advance, booking Lightning Lane reservations is something you will need to take care of during your park day. To use the Disney Genie+ service and bypass the standby queue on many attractions, you'll need to purchase this service on your park day. If you decide to use it, you can start making Genie+ selections starting at 7 AM each morning. My fellow planDisney panelist, Tammy M, gave a great description of how to use it.

Martin, I hope you can navigate the My Disney Experience with ease! Stop back any time to planDisney with additional questions leading up to your stay!

    See ya real soon!
