Our vacation to Disneyland is from April 4-9. Two in our party will require either a wheelchair or an automated Jazzy. How do I go about reserving them?

Hey howdy hey, Janis! You’ve got a friend in me at planDisney, so let’s get started!

Your Disneyland Resort vacation will be here in just a few short weeks, and I couldn’t be more excited for you! The weather is beautiful, and the springtime flowers are in bloom – it’s a great time to visit the Happiest Place on Earth!

I'm happy to report that the Disneyland Resort offers both Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) and Wheelchair Rentals. The rentals include single-rider, 3-wheel electric conveyance vehicles and manual wheelchairs. Unfortunately, ECVs and wheelchairs can’t be reserved ahead of time, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Typically, ECV and Wheelchair Rentals opens about an hour before the parks open, so you can get situated before your adventures begin. You can find these rentals located to the right of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance, and they can be used throughout Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park

However, if you’d prefer to have length-of-stay rentals that can be used throughout Downtown Disney District and to and from your hotel, I recommend checking out ScooterBug, a local private mobility rental company. You can even pre-order your mobility rentals to be delivered to your Disneyland Resort Hotel, which is a huge perk! Visit ScooterBug.com/Anaheim or call (800) 726-8284 for additional information and to reserve your rentals ahead of time.

Also, here’s the Entertainment Schedule for your arrival day, so you can start mapping out your magical plans. Click on the “5-Day View” tab to see the schedules for the remaining days of your visit. It looks like the parks are currently scheduled to open at 8:00 AM.

Last but not least, I recommend checking out this page to learn more about the many services available to Guests with mobility disabilities. I hope this information helps you and your group enjoy a comfortable, stress-free visit to the Disneyland Resort, Janis!

    See ya’ real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Greetings from sunny California! I live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder (and now a Magic Key Passholder) for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids ages 5-10, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Learn More About Kristin
