Hi Derek! There is always something special about visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, but visiting at Christmastime is extra magical! The decorations in the hotels and parks are the perfect way to enjoy the holiday season!
If you’ve already purchased your theme park tickets and made your
Disney Park Pass reservations for the parks you'll be visiting, then you are fine to visit the parks that you’ve selected! The only extra charge that you would encounter for admission to a Disney Park, related to “Christmas events,” would be if you were interested in visiting Magic Kingdom Park during
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This is a special holiday event that is held at Magic Kingdom Park on select nights during the holiday season. The event is held from 7:00 PM to midnight. Guests at Magic Kingdom Park, without a ticket for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, will need to exit the park prior to the start of the party. If you don’t have tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, please know that the amazing holiday decorations are up all day long for day Guests to enjoy as well.
I am not sure of which date(s) you plan to visit Magic Kingdom Park, but once Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party ends on December 22, much of the entertainment reserved for the party (i.e. the Christmas parade and Christmas fireworks) become part of the regular entertainment for regular admission Guests beginning on December 23 and last through the holidays!
Derek, as another holiday tip, I encourage you to visit the
Christmas Tree Stroll at Disney Springs! Here you will find Christmas tree after Christmas tree all themed to Disney characters, resorts, movies, attractions, and parks! If you are a fan of Christmas, you don’t want to miss this holiday site at Disney Springs! Don't forget to pick up a Christmas Tree Stroll map and stickers to keep track of all the trees that you find! At the end, you can turn in your map for a special surprise!
Happy Planning!
