Vacation in 6 days! Concerned about credit card at check in. Vacation is payed in advance, do I need to put a card down? and if so will a "hold" be placed on a certain amount? I'm using a debit card. Can't seem to find a straight answer for this.

    Hi John!

This is a great question and I didn't know the answer so I called Disney this afternoon. I was told that they do not put a hold on your credit card but that you card will be billed after you cross a certain threshold. The threshold depends on the type of resort you are staying at. However, I was also told that you do not need to put down a credit card or a debit card. Charging privileges do not need to be activated on your Key to the World card; if somehow charges get attached to your account, you will receive a phone call asking you to pay them.

I suggest calling the Disney resort that you are staying at directly to verify what I was told. Good luck and please write back with more questions.
