Can Vacation Club Points be used for a Disney Cruise?

    Welcome aboard, Beulette!

Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question!  I love helping a fellow Disney Vacation Club neighbor with planning a trip to the great wide somewhere.

I'm delighted that you are thinking of using your Disney Vacation Club Points for a Disney Cruise Line cruise.  The flexibility of our DVC Membership for experiences like Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, Star Wars: Galactic Star Cruise Adventures, and National Geographic Expeditions, as well as worldwide destinations and Disney Vacation Club Resorts, means a new adventure is always just around the riverbend.

You most certainly can use your Disney Vacation Club Points for a Disney Cruise Line cruise.  In fact, our family has done it several times.  We have celebrated our son's first and third birthdays, as well as my father's 70th birthday, on Disney Cruise Line sailings booked with our Disney Vacation Club Membership.  It's a wonderful way to utilize your Membership and enjoy a memorable family vacation full of Disney magic.

To book your Disney Cruise Line cruise using your Disney Vacation Club Points, you will want to find the right cruise for your family.  You can review the Disney Cruise Line sailings and Points Charts first, which will show you how many Vacation Points it will be for each sailing date, based on stateroom category, length of cruise, ship, destination, and season.  Then, once you found your dream vacation, call DVC Member Services at (800)-800-9800.  Select Member Services and then select Disney Cruise Line.  With a bippity boppity boo,  the helpful Cast Members will turn your Vacation Points into Reservation Points, check availability and make the booking for you.

I would also like to point out that you can use just Vacation Points to book your Disney Cruise Line cruise or a combination of Vacation Points and cash to ensure you can book the cruise that fulfills the wish that your heart makes.  Just note, there is a $95 service fee for any booking.

Also, remember to check out the Member Benefits page and see the ways Disney Vacation Club Members can save while sailing the high seas.  I hope you enjoy your Disney Cruise vacation because adventure is out there! If you have any more DVC or vacation planning questions, be sure to stop back here and I'll be happy to help you.

    See ya real soon!
