We are vacation Club Members. We will be staying in a 2 BR at Saratoga Springs. We were told by another member that there is a grocery allowance now when you stay. Is this true & how does that work?

    Hey There, Denise!

Welcome to planDisney and Welcome Home!  I'm so excited to hear that you'll be heading to Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa in just a few weeks –– as my Disney Vacation Club Home Resort, Saratoga Springs holds a special place in my heart.  The Resort recently completed a renovation of its main building and Guest rooms and the pictures look beautiful. Like you, I have a stay planned for later this year and I can't wait to see all the updates for myself.  If you're in the mood for great food and a little shopping during your visit (and who wouldn't be?), be sure to take advantage of the Resort's close proximity to Disney Springs.  After dinner, I recommend jumping aboard the boat for a relaxing sail back to the Resort –– if you ask me, it's the perfect way to end your day!

One of my favorite things about staying in a Disney Vacation Club Resort is having a fully-equipped kitchen in the 1-Bedroom, 2-Bedroom, and 3-Bedroom Villas.  For my family, being able to grab a quick breakfast in the room before we head out for Early Theme Park Entry or having late-night snacks on hand when we return from the park is a must, so stocking our kitchen with groceries is always a priority.  Unfortunately, there isn't any kind of grocery allowance available for DVC Members (seriously, how cool would that be, though?!), but there is an easy way to get all the goodies you need during your visit –– by having your groceries delivered directly to Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.

I suggest placing your grocery order a day or two before check-in –– you can use any grocery delivery service you'd like –– and schedule your delivery for the morning you arrive at the Resort.  While you're welcome to meet the delivery driver yourself, Bell Services will be happy to accept your delivery for you (including refrigerated items) and store it until you're ready to pick it up.  Once your room is ready, you can either stop by the Bell Services desk to pick up your items or have your order delivered directly to your Villa for a small fee.  The process is easy and convenient, exactly how a great vacation should be!  Just note that if your order contains age-restricted items, like alcohol, you'll need to be present during delivery to show your photo ID.  For that reason, you may want to schedule a second delivery with these items once you arrive.

I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney, Denise, and if you think of more planning questions before you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort, I hope you'll visit us again.  I'm wishing you lots of pixie dust during your upcoming visit to Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa!
