We have a vacation booked at The Polynesian in August. Which building would you recommend to be closest to the Ceremonial House, volcano pool, monorail and the area for refilling mugs, getting food, etc. Thanks!

Aloha John!  What is nice about the Polynesian is most of the buildings are a fairly short walk to the Great Ceremonial House.  To get a visual of the resort layout, you may want to visit a site such as allears.net and search for the Polynesian resort map.  For your situation, you may want to request the Niue building.  If you want to be a little closer to the volcano pool, then Samoa would be a good choice.  Samoa is in between the volcano pool and the quiet pool.  Personally, I like to stay in the Rarotonga building as it is still close to the Great Ceremonial House and you are just far enough away from any pool noise.

Be sure to head out to the beach to enjoy the Electric Water Pageant (usually starts at 9:00 p.m.) and the fireworks display from Magic Kingdom.  And if you can, try and get a dining reservation at 'Ohana for dinner.

    Have a wonderful vacation!  Diane
