Can you utilize the multi pass and premier pass at the same time in Disneyland? I saw that the photo pass was included in the multi pass and wanted to be able to utilize that and wondered if it was possible to have both types of passes?

    Hi Katie!

We're so happy you stopped by planDisney with your question. It looks like you are planning a visit for just a few weeks from now. You are going to love being in the parks during the 70th Anniversary! You will be humming and singing along to Celebrate Happy before you know it!

I'm happy to report that yes, you can use both Lightning Lane Multi-Pass and Premier Pass on the same day! The Disney PhotoPass benefit is included with both options, so if you'd prefer to focus on just the Premier Pass, you could do that as well! A few of the perks of the Premier Pass are that it includes one-time entry to each Lightning Lane attraction available that day on your own time, including the Single Pass attractions Radiator Springs Racers and Rise of the Resistance. You do not need to pre-book return times, just hop in the queue and away you go! If you have a Park Hopper ticket, you have access to Lightning Lane attractions at both parks!

The Lightning Lane Multi-Pass is similar, but does not include the Single Pass attractions, and return windows are booked one at a time. As soon as you scan into the parks, you would book your first return window. Once you tap into that attraction OR two hours after you booked it, you can make a second one. I love the Multi-Pass, and this is usually what I use when I'm in the parks, but it's unlikely that you would hit all of the Lightning Lanes available to you in a single day. Just something to consider!

You can add the Multi-Pass to your ticket ahead of time in the app by heading to "My Tickets and Passes" and tapping "Change Ticket" underneath the barcode. The Premier Pass can be purchased up to 7 days in advance of your visit, starting at 7:00 AM PST. Premier Passes are limited in number, so if you're considering it, I would recommend purchasing it on the early side of that window.

With so much to see and do as part of the 70th Anniversary, I'd recommend taking a peek at the 70th Anniversary Foodie Guide before heading into the parks. You can earmark a few must-try treats ahead of time and focus on using those Lightning Lanes once you are in the magic! One of my favorites is the 70th Stuff from Red Rose Taverne—a raspberry-filled shortbread and cream creation with its very own edible candle! You can make your own wish in honor of 70 years of magic!

Katie, I hope this has been helpful! If you have any more questions, you know where to find us here at planDisney.

Wishing you a magical and unforgettable visit!
