We would like to utilize the Maxpass option. We are also going with other people so my question is... are they able to pay for their own maxpass on their phones then link their tickets with ours after? So we're not paying for everyone's maxpass?

Hi there, Hailey! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I’m so excited to hEAR that you’re planning to use Disney MaxPass on your upcoming vacation to the Disneyland Resort! It’s the best handy helper in the parks, and it’s the perfect tool to help you make the most of your Disney days. Who wouldn’t enjoy spending less time waiting in line, and more time making magical memories?!

Yes, you can certainly link all your tickets together into a Disney FASTPASS party, after everyone has added MaxPass to their individual tickets. You can link your tickets on as many mobile devices as you’d like, even if you’re arriving and departing at different times. Here’s how it works: First, download the Disneyland app. Then, make sure everyone in your group has added MaxPass to their tickets. If you or your friends didn’t already add MaxPass at the time of the ticket purchase, you can still add it on a daily basis, via the Disneyland app. From the home screen, select the “+” from the bottom of the screen. Choose “Get FASTPASS with Disney MaxPass,” then find and select the appropriate tickets to add MaxPass to. The app will guide you through completing your purchase. Next, when you're ready to link all your tickets, scroll down until you find “My Tickets,” then, in the top right corner, click on the blue “+”. Select the option to “Link Tickets & Passes.” Next, scan the barcode for each ticket or pass that you’d like to link, or enter the ID numbers manually.

Once you’re ready to make your first FASTPASS selection using MaxPass, and everyone in your group is in the park, select “Get FASTPASS with Disney MaxPass” to create your FASTPASS party. Select the appropriate tickets for that particular attraction, then you’re on your way to making your FASTPASS selection!

It’s always a good idea for several members of your group to download the Disneyland app, just in case your battery runs low. I love utilizing MaxPass when traveling with larger groups – it’s much more convenient, and a great time-saver, too!

Wishing you many magical adventures at the Happiest Place on Earth!
