Hiya, Julianne!
While I am happy you found us here at planDisney, I fear that you may not have come to the right place to get an answer to your question. I think you’d be hard-pressed to find a planDisney panelist who will say there is a bad time to visit The Most Magical Place On Earth! Jokes aside, I just visited Disney World during this year’s
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, so I am happy to give you my take on whether trading in your typical October trip for one in April is a good idea.
In short, yes!
I was blown away by the topiary displays, the special entertainment, and the exhibits (the butterfly garden was a personal favorite). But what made my visit incredible was the vast array of Outdoor Kitchens. I have never enjoyed so much deliciousness on a Disney trip before! If you are traveling with little ones, you should also check out the
planDisney EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival With Little Ones video featuring my friend Jennifer S. and yours truly! We had so much fun! Julianne, as someone from the mid-Atlantic just like you, I know that our winters can drag on a little too long into the Spring, so visiting the Sunshine State in April would be a nice reprieve. It will be a little warmer than home, and hopefully, there will be less rain.
Could I be so bold as to suggest you entertain keeping your routine October trip and adding a weekend trip in April to scratch your topiary itch? With such affordable
Disney Resorts Collection hotel options and
Special Offers, Deals & Discounts, you could visit when you love to in October, and get a small sample of experiencing Disney World at a different time of the year to see if it is something you would like to commit to in the future! The more Disney World trips, the better, in my opinion!
If you have any questions about the topiary displays, the Flower & Garden Festival, or a more specific Disney World dining recommendation,
submit me a question. I’d be happy to dig a little deeper into helping you plan the ideal
Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
See you real soon!
