Usually when I come to Orlando, we rent a house or Condo but we are taking our son for the first time and thought it might be nice to stay at a Disney resort. Looking for pointers, suggestions, do's and don'ts

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kimberly! I love that you are about to share the magic of the ‘World with your son. And nothing is more magical than a stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel! Resorts are my jam, so I am happy to offer a few suggestions!

Since you are used to staying in a condo or house, I will assume that you enjoy having amenities like multiple bathrooms and full kitchens. Lucky for you, there are quite a few properties that offer some or all of the above!

First stop - Disney Vacation Club properties. You can stay at a Resort where the Monorail runs straight through it, or “glamp” in style. If you’re dreaming of palm trees and beaches, you can look no further than Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, or if you prefer the excitement of Disney Springs, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is a quick walk across a bridge. Each of the 1-Bedroom or larger Villas come complete with full kitchen, washer & dryer, and often, multiple bathrooms.

Another one of my favorite properties is The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. I think your son would love to feel like he is camping while you enjoy a soft bed, a full kitchen, and four walls! The Cabins are family (and pet-friendly) with bunk beds and a grill outside. They are also super convenient, as the Resort is a quick boat ride away from Magic Kingdom Park!

Finally, I love the Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort! From Finding Nemo to Cars Themed Rooms, I am sure one of them is sure to delight your kiddo! The suites sleep up to six adults, have two bedrooms (plus a Murphy bed), and a kitchenette with a microwave. They are roomy and super fun!

Kimberly, whichever hotel you choose, enjoy the benefits of staying on property! From FastPass+ selections 60 days before your visit to complimentary transportation to and from the airport, you are going to love the perks of being a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guest.

    ChEARs to a magical stay!
