Hi! I usually go out with face mask and face shield, to avoid touching my face. Can I ride using face mask AND face shield at the same time? If not, can I take it along the ride? Or do I need to leave it w/a CM? Thank you!

Greetings Ana Beatriz! It's wonderful to see you back at planDisney. Thanks for sending another great question our way.

It looks like you have a fantastic fall adventure coming up next month. Have you seen the latest news on the Disney Parks Blog detailing this year's seasonal offerings? A bit of pixie-dust is about to fall on the Magic Kingdom Park!

I'm glad to hEAR you are planning your face covering strategy for your visit. My family and I enjoyed a late-summer vacation to Walt Disney World, and we were so pleased with all the health and safety precautions in place to protect Guests and Cast Members. We spent the summer trying out a variety of face coverings and found that we preferred the ones from shopDisney that are also available at select retail locations in Walt Disney World. If you have any small Mouseketeers in your party, the shopDisney youth-size masks fit better than any we have tried.

If you prefer the added protection of a face shield (most Cast Members are wearing these over their face masks) you are absolutely permitted to use these in addition to your face covering while walking around and experiencing attractions. In some cases, an attraction is particularly wild and may cause accessories like hats and glasses to fly around, so you may be asked to or want to remove the face shield during the ride. These types of attractions, such as Space Mountain or Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith have pockets in the ride vehicles meant for personal belongings. You may want to have a bag on hand to put your face shield in prior to stowing it in the pocket provided. Upon exiting an attraction, you will find touch-free hand sanitizer dispensers. Snow White herself would be satisfied with the extra hand washing opportunities!

I hope this helps as you prepare to fly off to Neverland next month. If there is anything else we can do to make your stay even more magical, please come back and see us again. I wish you safe travels from Guatemala, and if you have any local friends or family members that would benefit from planning advice en Español, we have panelists that can help with that too!

    ¡Buen viaje!
