We usually get the dining plan for my family of four, but for our upcoming trip, we are staying in a studio, and are gong to try NOT having a dining plan and being more spontaneous. Is there any chance to get in without an ADR?

Hi Jackie! You can definitely be spontaneous on your upcoming Disney vacation by using Counter Service Dining that is available at the Parks, Resort hotels, and Downtown Disney. I would strongly suggest that you make an Advanced Dining Reservations(ADRs) for those Character meals that you can't miss. It is very difficult to get a table at restaurants with ADRs, however, occasionally there are cancellations.

Our family has dined by Counter Service only during a Walt Disney World Resort vacation and we loved it. We were able to try new restaurants that we might not have otherwise tried. The best part was not having a schedule to go by and being able to eat when we were hungry rather than when it was time for our ADR. I say go for it and I'll send some Pixie Dust your way. Have a Magical Vacation!
