Hi Rebecca,
Fall is one of my favorite times of year to visit Walt Disney World. The weather in Florida in November is cooler than the hot summer, and the crowds tend to be lower when children are in school.
There are a couple of big events in November at Walt Disney World. My favorite is the
Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. This event includes kiosks set up around World Showcase in Epcot featuring foods from around the globe. There are also often presentations by celebrity chefs and special dining events. The Eat to the Beat concert series features some great musical acts at this time as well. The last day of the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival this year is November 11, so you'll be there right up until it ends.
You also might want to check out
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - you'll be there for the first couple nights of this fun event. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party occurs on select nights at the Magic Kingdom. I attended for the first time last year, and it was truly magical. From seeing it "snow" on Main Street U.S.A., to enjoying hot cocoa and cookies, to watching the special parade and fireworks show, it was a wonderful time.
For announcements of upcoming events at Walt Disney World, I suggest that you monitor the
Disney Parks Blog. Also, the unofficial site allears.net keeps a list of upcoming events. Go to allears.net and search "Walt Disney World calendar of events" for a month-by-month listing of upcoming events.
I hope that this information helps, Rebecca! Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
