What is the usual checkout time for the hotels? Trying to setup flights.

Hello Sheryl! You’re thinking of every detail! That planning is going to make for a great vacation!

Checkout time at hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection is 11:00 AM. I’m happy to offer a few tips as you work on your departure plans. First, Guests can request a late checkout from their resort hotel. If the front desk is able to honor your request they will do so, however, it is never a guarantee so be sure to check in advance. During our last visit, our request wasn’t able to be honored so we planned for the standard 11:00 AM departure.

Sheryl, Guests can still visit the Disney Parks on checkout day! If you plan a flight later in the day or evening, and you still have park tickets remaining, as well as a Disney Park Pass reservation, you can still get a “Disney Day” out of your vacation! You can leave all of your bags with Bell Services. They will tag your bags and provide you with a claim tag. You can then have peace of mind knowing that your bags are safe and waiting for when your day is done.

Departure day is also a great day to relax! During our most recent visit, we lounged and had drinks and lunch by the pool after we checked out! We were able to use the resort changing area to freshen up prior to our departure to the airport. Some resorts have more limited changing areas, so inquire with your resort hotel as to what is available. Again, you can leave your bags with Bell Services should you choose to stay onsite following checkout!

Sheryl, please feel free to visit planDisney again should you have more questions. We’re all EARS!
