Two girls in waves at Typhoon Lagoon

When using a Water and Sport Option ticket to enter a water park, can you leave and return to that same water park on the same day without using another Option ticket?

Well hi there Ridge, and a very warm Canadian welcome to planDisney!

Almost every time that we head out to either of the Water Parks at Walt Disney World Resort, we run into fellow Canadians looking to soak up some sun after a voyage down south. We recently made our way over to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park to float away the day on Castaway Creek and brave the surf as the massive tidal waves came crashing down to a chorus of screams. That's what I call some pure summertime joy in Florida!

You'll be happy to hear that once you have scanned in with your valid admission to one of the water parks, you are absolutely welcome to leave and return later without requiring to redeem another visit from what you have available with your added Water Park and Sports Option. (We noticed that some folks do this as a way to quickly head out to Disney Springs to grab an air-conditioned bite to eat especially during the exceptionally hot summer months!)  As policies and offerings are subject to change without prior notice, there may be days when returning may not be possible (especially if the Cast Members may be aware of oncoming lightning activity in the surrounding area) so I recommend having a quick word with the Cast Members at the entrance or over at Guest Services before you depart.

During your visit this summer you might notice that Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park may still be closed for refurbishment; we were lucky enough to briefly glimpse some of the newest Frozen-themed additions and here's hoping there may be even more exciting new things to look forward to in the future! Like I mentioned earlier, visiting the Water Parks can be brutal in the summer as the midday sun beats down so I recommend cooling off with some refreshing treats like the snacks you'll find at Happy Landings Ice Cream; just be sure to be ready to enjoy it immediately as the clock starts ticking on any frozen delights that sometimes begin to melt as you try to snap the perfect photo while they're still intact! I hope you have a great time while you're there Ridge, feel free to come back to planDisney again for any more advice, tips or tricks ahead of your next aquatic adventure.

Here's to making a splash on your upcoming visit this summer!
