As a military spouse, I so appreciate the promotions that Disneyland Resort offers military families. We take advantage of the
Disney Military Promotional Tickets every year that we can. If it is the Disney Military Promotional Tickets that you are having your son purchase for you, not only will he need to be present when you redeem the tickets at the game, but one of the tickets must also be used by him. If he has a spouse, they can be the designated sponsor of the tickets and use one of them for themselves instead of your son. Each service member is limited to up to six tickets per promotional period. If this doesn't work out for your son to be present and attend the parks with you, there may be another discounted ticket option available at the military base ticket office, although it will not be as deeply discounted as the Disney Military Promotional Ticket.
While you are at Disneyland Park, be sure to check out that day's
Entertainment Schedule to see when what performances will be operating that day. Here you will also find the time for the Flag Retreat Ceremony done every day in front of the flag pole on Main Street, U.S.A. It's a lovely ceremony and a wonderful chance to take an afternoon break on the benches to watch if you arrive early enough to grab a seat.
