Hiya Melissa,
Welcome back to planDisney! If you ask me, the perfect ratio of adults to babies/kids is 4 to 1; my baby’s first visit to Walt Disney World Resort last fall fit this scenario. It was me, my hubby, our five-month-old, and two of our friends. It was perfect! It was so much less stressful for me, and I was actually able to enjoy the vacation.
Speaking of stress-free, using
rider switch is a fantastic way to ensure everyone can enjoy attractions. We tried out this exact scenario you are talking about during our trip when we wanted to ride
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. In my experience, yes, Cast Member will allow two of you to wait with your little one while the others enjoy the attraction. Then, you two can swap once the other two get off the ride. I spoke to a Cast Member just to verify that my experience was accurate, and they confirmed that you should be able to do this during your vacation as well. They suggested that once you get to the front of the attraction, you explain to the Cast Member what you would like to do, and then they will advise you on the next steps. The Cast Member did let me know that this is up to the discretion of the Cast Member, but she didn’t foresee any issues.
I hope this was helpful, Melissa. Before I let you go, I wanted to share some must-have items that I was glad I had with me during my visit—first, a rain shield for my stroller. Orlando experiences rain every season (especially in summer). It down poured during my little’s first visit, and the rain shield kept her perfectly dry. Also, a portable stroller fan is a must for the heat. If the
Baby Care Center is crowded, you can find a quiet corner in the Theme Park (my favorite is near
DINOSAUR in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park) and cool off your little.
Please come back and see us if you need anything else!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
