When using Rider swap: Does each person that will obtain a rider swap pass need a fast pass also? For example, can I book hubs and kid 1 with a fast pass to FOP then myself with kid 2, 3 on a fast pass to another ride but get a rider swap for FOP?

Hi Andrea and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for sending me your question!

The Rider Switch service has saved my family time, tantrums and just overall headaches when we’ve traveled with our young girls. You don't need a FastPass+ to be able to use a Rider Switch pass. You can make other FastPass+ selections for attractions with your younger children while your husband enjoys Avatar Flight of Passage at Pandora- World of Avatar with your older child.

Just remember that you must be there when your husband and older child enter the FastPass+ line to tap your MagicBand on that Mickey sensor. Right now, it’s the only way the pass will be saved to your ticket. You also should note that you have about the same amount of time as the queue wait (minus 10 minutes) to experience your attraction AFTER part of your group gets off the attraction. For example, if the wait time for Avatar Flight of Passage is one hour, you have 50 minutes after your family gets off, to be able to use that pass.

There’s so much to explore at Pandora- World of Avatar with little ones. My three-year-old was mesmerized by all the different plants in the bioluminescent rainforest during Na’vi River Journey. She also had a great time exploring the Valley of Mo’ara and playing the drums outside the queue entrance.

UP! A Great Bird Adventure has just been updated and is an awesome experience too. You get to see lots of exotic birds up close, with the guidance of Russell, Dug and a friendly senior Wilderness Explorer.

Andrea, feel free to send me any other questions you might have. Helping you with all the details of your magical visit is my pleasure!
