Hiya, Judy!
I've found that
Walt Disney World is one of the easiest places to use a scooter or Electronic Conveyance Vehicle (ECV). Even though two members of my family used them regularly, I got to see firsthand how to navigate the
theme parks on wheels when I dislocated my knee last year. Easy peasy!
Whether you are bringing your own ECV or using an outside rental company, there are plenty of places you can recharge. I have found that there are outlets in pretty much every
counter service dining location with indoor seating, so mealtime is one of the best times to plugin. Look for seating near the wall, and if you can go during off-peak times, that's even better. You'll have more space to recharge your own batteries while charging your scooter.
You might also find charging available when you park your scooter to go into an attraction. Look in the area where you can park your scooter, or even check out the outside of the building for a charging outlet. Ask a Cast Member - they're super helpful and really knowledgeable about finding just this type of thing. Also, check out
this information on services for guests with mobility issues. You may find more information that will make this trip a bit more magical.
Have an amazing time during your upcoming vacation, Judy!
